Two code bytes, plus an optional status byte. A third byte is read as the failure type.
Clear codes locked, demo only
Clearing is locked like a flash. It needs the confirmation text and, in this app, only ever runs against the demo. It never sends anything to a car. Codes come back if the fault is still there.
CLEAR-DTC-0x12Connect & detect DEMO
A read-only check of your engine and gearbox: which car it is, how far support has got, and how each part would be flashed. Nothing is written. It only reads, and can't erase, unlock or write anything. Live detection needs Windows and the car's Ethernet (ENET) cable. In demo mode this shows a sample car.
⚡ Guided flash, live and locked DEMO
The real write, done safely. Every safe step (detect, readiness, prove security, read + backup, compatibility check, build) runs read-only. The WRITE runs only when every safety check passes, with no way around it. Demo mode is inert and can never write. The gearbox write stays blocked until a read of your car confirms where the tune goes.

⚡ Flash engine, real but switched off in the browser
This is the real B58 write engine. In the browser it only ever reaches a demo engine. It opens no connection and cannot touch a car. Prove security, Backup, Restore and the dry-run plan all run against that demo so you can see them work. A real write needs a connection you set up in person, under every safety check. Writing a B58 engine is permanent and can brick it.
Arm & flash: the safety checklist
Nothing can flash the car on its own. A real write needs every check below. The browser can meet none of the on-car ones, so "Arm & flash" here tries a real write with the offline stand-in and shows you it refuse, proof the safety checks hold.
